Have you ever thought about connecting your career with your main hobby? Bet that you have! That’s what my mate Joe does. We study together at the University of Applied Sciences in Bremen, and both going to be graduate tourism managers in a couple of months.
Playing piano since 20 years Joe connects his passion for traveling with his hobby playing piano. As he said: a piano can be found almost everywhere in the world. So first he traveled 10 month long around the world and then spent his exchange year in South America. Till now there are already many countries on his list: Australia, USA, New Zealand, Indonesia, China, Canada, Columbia, Ecuador and many more.
Last summer he worked as a Pianist aboard the cruise ship MS Columbus which belongs to Hapag Lloyd. He spent 4 weeks on the great Lakes in North America and Canada playing Piano for the guests at the cocktail bar.
Back in Germany he performs on wedding parties, business events or private birthday parties, either solo or as a Duo with a female singer.
A couple of weeks ago we’ve had a nice piano dinner at his place in Bremen, where I could once more watch and listen him play and see how passionate he is about music.
